Our plant labels and signs are manufactured as standard from 1.5mm thick, exterior grade engraving laminates.

The modern laminates we use replace the old fashioned ridged engraving laminates sometimes known as Traffolyte.

The laminates we use consist of two different coloured layers, a cap or surface layer and a core layer. When the surface layer is engraved or removed it reveals the contrasting coloured core layer beneath.

The most common example would be a laminate with a white cap layer and black core layer. When the white cap layer is engraved or removed it shows the black core layer, meaning the finished item has a white background or face and black text or pictogram.

We hold in stock 12 different colour combinations of engraving laminate with nearly any colour combination available as a special order. Laminates which emulate wood and marble are even available.

We can supply our labels with a number of fixings methods allowing for easy installation, these include fixing holes of any diameter, high performance double sided tape, a combination of fixing holes and double sided tape or even magnetic.
